  1. I had my TTT at Cleveland. They will have you hooked up to a heart monitor at all times w/BP. You tell them if you feel yucky. You can also tell them to stop. What is great is that they told me my results right afterward (pots) and sent me the reports. They told me that they can calculate results based on how much medicine you are on. So pay attention to the time when you take medicine. I personally avoid doing anything other than medicine prior to testing that helps with symptoms, such as support stockings. I would not wear support stockings for the entire day prior to the testing. I also would not take any of the herbs/vitamins that help me for a couple of days before the test. Caprice
  2. I passed on the scopolamine because my pharmacist said it could cause an increase in heartrate and other arrythmias. I rely on ginger and pressure bracelets. Has your heart rate changed? Maybe that is why you are "off?" Caprice
  3. Sorry everything is so hard right now. Your symptoms sure sound like POTS to me...FYI POTS can make you process things slowly i.e. "brain fog". I have an engineering degree but no longer work. I can't balance my checkbook w/o a calculator. The brain fog even shows up on cognitive testing. My cardiologist says it has to do with not having the correct bloodflow to my brain. Whatever you do don't get overheated. Use a neck coolie if you go outside with your kids. They have saved me when I am in the heat. You can buy them in sporting goods stores or even Walmart. But the last Walmart one I got leaked the gel out. Good luck. Caprice
  4. I had/have a similar experience. Now that my heart cath is totally fine with absolutely no blockage I no longer go to the ER. However, my cardiologist gives me Lopressor just for times like this. I normally take Toprol XL 2X/day. So if I am having problems I take Lopressor on top. It takes approx 1 hr to kick in. Perhaps you could do the same. Is your heart cath completely clear or does it show any blockage? I might feel differently if my cath showed any blockage. Caprice
  5. Has anyone heard how Dr. Grubb's wife is? Is he still seeing patients? Caprice
  6. I am a new member and the exact feeling you are describing is what was my first symptom of POTS. My legs get so weak that they collapse. I use a walker on some days. After the TTT I couldn't walk for days. Have actually been hospitalized in the past for it prior to being diagnosed with POTS. Taking Taurine, magnesium and an adrenal supplement has helped me some.
