Just wanted to let you know that you're in my thoughts and prayers! You're sooo brave! I know it's extremely difficult going through what something like this, my dr's have told me similar things. they've told me that i have an extremely rare case of pots, and my heart can stop at anytime, and i can die. So i can understand. Just remember you're not alone.. we're all here for you.

When i had back problems my dr put me on Zanaflex, it really worked well. It helped me sleep good.

Hey Jacquie, as i was reading your post i realized that i'm in the same "boat" as you are. I totally understand how frustrating it can be. I too am still waiting to hear from disability, i've already been denied medicaid, now i have to appeal it. the reason they denied it was they consider POTS not to be a disability. And what you were saying about friends, family and just people in general is very true. There are many times i feel like crap and for some reason i look fine, so everyone thinks i'm ok and expects me to be ok. Anyway i hope things get better for you! You'll be in my thoughts and prayers!

I'm on Paxil but not for depression or anxiety reasons. My cardiologist has me taking 20mg daily, for it to decrease my heart rate cause when my bp crashes my hr shoots up to 180, sometimes into the 200's.

yeah i have most of these symptoms, except for the nightmares. When i get "flares", (I call them close calls cause most of them time i'll end up blacking out) I first start getting really confused, for example when i was working i used to make alot of mistakes. Then i get migraines, nausea, sick to my stomach feeling, chills, light and sounds will bother me, my blood pressure will start to crash, hr shoots up feels like it will beat out of my chest sometimes, dizzy, i'll start seeing these sparkles everywhere, skin goes pale, lose my strength, etc.

headaches aren't a new symptom for me, I've already seen a neurologist about it and they just thought it was a side effect of the meds i'm on for POTS, so they put me on Topamax, which is not helping me much.

I wake up with bad migraines almost everyday.

I'm on .1mg of Florinef, my dr has me taking 3 pills in the morning then i have to take another 2 pills in the afternoon. And now he wants to increase it because we had to decrease the Midodrine was making me sick.

Just wanted to welcome you! And as you can see you're not alone in this. I'm 26, will be turning 27 in about a week, and been having problems for over 2yrs, not quite as long as you have but i can understand how frustrating it can feel sometimes.

You guys are so funny, you made me laugh, which of course i needed to this morning cause i'm feeling pretty horrible, like a truck ran over me or something. That would be cool if we could have our own color, teal would be great.

I've been on Norpace since May and it hasn't made much difference, except for side effects. The dr's still can't get the pots under control.

Hey everyone, the waiting game is offically over... Yippee!! My dr called me today with so very good news! Both of the biopsies came back fine, so everything is ok. I'm so happy and very relieved right now! I havent had a good report in so long, this feels so great!!!! I'm enjoying it!! Thanks for all of your support!!

the neurologist i saw, put me on Topamax. It's an anti seizure drug that can prevent migraines but takes a long time to work.

Well i'm still playing the "waiting game". Meanwhile i'm very sore and haven't been sleeping well cause of it.

well i'm back from the dr;s and everything went well. I didn't feel a thing except for the needles in the beginning. She ended up only removing 2 moles and biopsied both. I should know the results in a week or two. I'll let you guys know when i find something else out.

Just wanted to give everyone an update about how i'm doing with the Topamax. this is my second week on it and besides it making me super fatigued and drained all the time, I'm not doing too bad yet. I just started taking the 50mg last night. i'm suppose to take 50mg for a week then increase it to 75mg for another and then hopefully get on 100mg. But I'll see about that. The migraines have improved some too, I still get them but they don't last as long. It's weird. I'll keep everyone posted.

Well everyone, i went to the dr this morning. The good news is that the mole that i thought was the big problem is nothing to worry about, but i do have 3 moles that i have to have removed, 2 of which i have to have biopsied (not sure if spelled right). There's these two moles on my shoulders, one i was concerned about, the other i really wasnt, so i don't know what to think. I'm going back to on Monday to get the moles removed and the biopsies done.

i have an appointment to see my dr tomorrow at 9;30, so we'll see what happens, and i'll let you guys know

I have about 6 moles that have started to bleed. I don't know what the deal is. Some of the moles i;ve had for a very long time and over time, especially the last few months they've grown and changed color, and are raised. the biggest one is one my leg and it used to be brown but now is starting to turn darker brown, black, and red. And the other day it started getting itchy, so i barely touch it, and it started bleeding. I know this isn't a pots problem, but has anyone had this happen to them? I know i should probably go to the dr's about it but i'm nervous about going.
