  1. Hi Jacquie, For myself...each day seems a bit different. But most days it's early afternoon. These are some things I do to help reduce my symtoms... 1. Very restricted diet. NO wheat, refined sugar, or dairy, limited fiber. 2. Consume small portions at a time. 3. I eat VERY VERY slow. (look at a magazine or read a chapter of a book) this helps me eat slow. 4. Walk small distances at a time. But try to walk everyday. (twice a day). 5. I keep a bottle of water at my bed side and I sip on it throughout the night. 6. Before going to sleep and before getting out of bed I quote positive affirmations. (kind of like meditation). Even one day when I am well, I will follow these guidelines I've made for myself. Why? Because there heathy ones and they sure can't do any harm.
  2. Dear Kate, First I would like to thank you for sharing your personal experience reguarding "acupuncture" with me and anyone else that might benefit from your story. Your information has been very helpful to me! I am the same way, very sensative to any form of treatment. I viewed your profile and it made me cry. I had no idea you were so young! I haven't filled my own profile out yet but I am 47 yrs old. Want to know something really cooool...our Birthdays the same "MAY 16th"! How is that for having something in common? Thanks again for your imput and I will ALWAYS pray for you! Sincerely, Cathy
  3. Have any of you tried acupuncture? They say it can be helpful for I.B.S. problems. Anyone have ANY feedback on this topic of Acupuncture and POTS symtoms?
  4. I have had POTS for 2 yrs and 4 months now. Seems as if things change as time goes by. For example, for the past many months my lower stomach (intestinal area) seems extremely sensative to exertion (stretching or exercising) of course, always food sensative. But it's like a constant disturbance feeling throughtout the muscles and nerves. It is extremely uncomfortable! Seems to be more of an issue as time goes by. Sometimes it's even there when I go to bed at night, but gone when I wake up in the morning. Are there others of you who feel like this, and or how would you discribe it?
  5. Hi Jaie, Thanks for your imput! I am new to the group and I must say the support is awsome and genuine! Hope I can be of help to you someday, take care and have a great one! Sincerely, Cathy
  6. Hi Dawn, Just wanted to thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences reguarding "dental work". This is the first concern I've shared with the group and I am very thankful I joined! I think the support is genuine and awsome. You and several others have helped give me a little piece of mind about going (this Thurs.afternoon) to the Dentist. Thank you again! I truly hope all is well with you and that you have a great day! Sincerely, Cathy
  7. From the onset of POTS for me, chemical sensativity has been an issue. I am not sure about how to handle a dental appt. that will require a crown and build up. I have done my home work and my dentist knows to use a local anesthetic containing a vasoconstrictor of epinephrine. I have considered having it done without anesthetic, is this what I need to do to avoid a reaction? Thanks for any assurance or advice!
  8. Thanks for responding so promply! I do have questions. I also hope that I can be of some help to others.
