  1. You can try www.wahm.com

This is a website started by a work at home mom. It sometimes has listing of different leads, and companies that hire people from home. It can take some time to browse their archives plus the current threads on there but has some good info and a lot of helpful info and people on there. (I found a job that I work from home from that site, )

    Good luck.

  2. I don't know what to say but that I am so upset and sorry to hear of that horror and please know I will be keeping you in my thoughts to get through this.

That said, they must be able to do something. I'm disgusted to think that someone like that can stay at their job, and the thought that this could happen to others too is scary. How does his word enable him to keep his job? Seems a full investigation would be warranted and that I would think would include the police speaking to him and at least having him temporarily out of work until all the facts are gathered and heard. At the least the police should be on top of it. Not to have his address, what is that about. He is an employee of the hospital, they have his record and if it is related to a complaint that is one of the first things they get. Have the police not spoken to this lowlife? It's not like women have not come forward later after such an ordeal and have been able to get justice. There is something wrong there. Equally frustrating is that they hospital would love nothing more than to sweep it under the rug and ask you to go somewhere else, the nerve. They have to make some accomodations for you, so you can continue to be seen there. What about having only female employees or a female employee has to be in the room anytime a male employee is in the room with you?

What about contacting a womens crisis center? They may be able to help you with what to do next, who to speak to, etc., since they train and deal with these types of crisis one on one.

I'm a little frustrated and upset right now after reading your post so my thoughts are scattered.

I can't imagine how painful this is for you to have kept inside and to have to keep reliving in order to get some justice. I wish I could be of some help.

I'm with you in spirit and support. Please keep us informed.

You are one strong woman. Stay strong.

  3. Mine are almost the same to a T but I do not have the sunburn feeling. I take an extra bit of beta blocker to help bring my rate down. It won't stop by my lying down or trying to break it. I've worn monitors and it shows sinus tachycardia during an episode. It slows on its own. My hands sweat yet my teeth chatters and I feel cold. Sometimes I just know it is coming on. For a long time I was told it was panic, but I've had panic attacks and this is not like that.

I've been checked for pheo, had so much blood drawn, sugar/insulin etc. ekg's, echo etc. My cortisol is a normal pattern, but low. They say borderline for adrenal insufficiency. My DHEA is low normal so I don't fit a pattern there.

Surely we can all sympathize with you. Wish I had some great advice to offer. I do find though that that low carb eating has helped as well as reducing sugar even though my levels are fine. If I overeat I notice I may start to feel the feelings come on, think it may have to do with pressure on the vagus nerve. When my reflux flares I have more episodes too.

My D.O. dr has probably helped the most.

Try to look for the little comforts for yourself and keep positive. Soon I bet you will see longer stretches of feeling better again. Sometimes it just takes a while to bounce back to where you were before. Hang in there. :)

  4. I've been fighting a cold for the past 5 days. I thought I had nipped it in the bud with taking zinc, but thought it did not come out full blown, I've had drip and cough but no nose blowing(the zinc seem to have taken care of that from happening.) The thing I have noticed is that my heart rate at rest has been higher than norm since this started and more palpitations whereas prior I had been doing pretty well without any. I've had to take extra beta in the middle of the night because I feel so wired. It's not incredibly fast but in the high 80's while sleeping I'd guess.

I still feel the cold feeling in the back of my throat and have drip and cough. Just thinking the higher rate may still be from having a virus?

Anyone have to increase meds during a cold etc? I'm hoping it goes back down once it's all gone

  5. You tried explaining. Some just don't get it and never will. The severity of any illness that someone has can't always be explained. Not everyone is or reacts the same.

They will just have to accept it, and I'm sure they will. They are excited and probably just can't control themselves.

    :(

I've given up on explaining. Day to day I change good, bad and in-between. So I think some people just think I use it as an excuse. Believe me, there are things I would love to do rather than sit home and take an extra hit of beta blocker!! Sure you are the same.

Ask them if it's possible they can have someone videotape them so you both will be able to enjoy it later on.

  6. I've used the Neilmed one for a while but switched to the netipot a few months back. I bought a ceramic one from Vitamin shoppe(not sure what brand it is) and bought the saline. Definately use lukwarm water,, if the water is slightly cool it hurts me!! It should work out well if you do it from a sitting positon over a bucket or such as long as you are comfortable tilting your head a bit to the side.

I switched to the netipot after doing some reading and also that it is easy to clean being made of ceramic. I have allergies year round and helps to open them up a little. A little is better than nothing ;)

  7. I have a touchy system also. Someone could jump at me and I'd be fine or climbing the walls. When I know something that is stressfull for me is going to happen etc., I really try to deal with it, but for some reason, even though I know nothing will happen and that I can handle anything, I almost always have a tachy reaction. For me the negative thought about having a reaction must always be there and no matter how much talking, self assuring, breathing etc, I can react, react like the first time I ever had a tachy episode.

I too can relate and I think that keeping the thought that you will be fine and you will get through this episode helps.

  8. I had a tough time this summer here. My kids wanted to go the pool, and we did and I paid for it. A few times being there during the high time of heat 12-2 was a killer. I found that going at 3:00-4:00 it was still sunny, warm enough to go in the water but o.k. enough for me to lay out and enjoy some of it. So if you find it to much during the early part of the day even with an umbrella and all, you may find it better later in the p.m., plus possibly less crowds!!!

Sounds like a great trip. Enjoy!

  9. Congratulations!!!!!!

I did not have naseau but boy did I have severe heartburn. I felt my best by about 22 weeks when the blood volume increases. I still had symptoms but did not seem to bother me so much.

I echo everyone else also, keep hydrated, do only as much as you can and don't forget what is strenous for you can be strenous for the baby too so don't risk it. I stupidly shoveled snow during my last pregnancy and I bent over to pick up the snow and I started with skipped beats. Each movement I made I got one. It lasted for a week or so and I had to take meds to control it. Sooo, point is, take care of yourself and let your hubby do the work!!!

Best wishes for a smooth pregnancy,,feel well

  10. I just thought that when I experience that scenario is that it is from my body just not knowing to shut off the adrenaline. That the exercise is over. I can feel fine while I'm walking or exercising and I'll also do a cool-down, but my heart rate will stay high and then many times starts to go faster and stays fast until I take a beta to bring it down. I have chills, teeth chatters, feel uneasy, have a hard time sitting still and usually a potty run (sorry about that) I was told I was in sinus tachy,,(I wore a heart montior for a while are caught some of these events).

Rhythm while it is in sinus rhythm, could be that irregular-is meaning tachy. I still feel the panic with it, I think some being me unconsciously thinking "oh, no, here it is again" and partly that the adrenaline can cause those panicky feelings.

Do these events last long? Maybe ask for a heart monitor to catch it again in action? I do think too that there is so much Dr's don't know. How many syndromes have they listed over the years, that is after years and years of people having symptoms that Dr's could not pinpoint to some disease that they already knew about. CFS, MVPS, POTS etc.

  11. Linda,

I had to hold back the tears reading your post. Wish I could give you a big hug but am sending one the cyber way. It's nice to hear all your tests are coming out good but what the heck is going on! There has to be some doctor out there that won't be stumped by this, that when you see him or her and describe what you are going through they will say"It sounds just like ......" and be able to set you on the path to wellness.

I don't suffer symptoms nearly as bad as most on here, but enough to make me miserable and to have to rely on others way to often for my liking. But I do understand that feeling. Just want to feel well already. You've done your part now it's time to feel "normal".

You are strong, you can read it in your writing. You'll hang on and pull through this all. I'm sure your husband understands that you are giving all that you have, and knows how much you appreciate him and if you could give more you would.

Hang in there sweetie, let out a good scream..it can do wonders.

    Hugs..

  12. Wow, and they wonder why so many people are disgusted with the medical society.

I had my level tested a few times and depending on who you want to believe, mine was low. It was the low end of normal. I finally went to see a doctor of osteopath(can prescribe meds but works with the body as a whole and naturally if possible). I tried the cream but found no difference. I do take a compounded troche(under the tongue) of natural progesterone. I take it from day 12 till about day 26. It helped to get my levels in the middle normal ran

  13. I don't know about the aortic root but I have been told that trace of any/all valves can be found in the normal population. Not everyone gets echos so they don't know. I have trace of all as of last time but in the past I had trace of one or two then the next only of one and so on.

Taking the echo(s) to your specialist sounds like a good beginning.
