  1. BaylorGenetics and GeneDX both do gene sequencing. In the US, generally what you’ll get is a WES, Whole Exome Sequencing, and there is a ton of paperwork a geneticist must go through to get it approved because it is very expensive, however the price comes down the more the science improves. One word of warning, you need a super skilled person to interpret it, if you get a run of the mill genetic counselor that reads the report only and does no additional research into causative genes it can frustrating to get any further necessary testing.   2. Interesting thread. We have only taken the flu vaccine once in the past 6 years, and my now 13-yo son got influenza-b with probable covid-19 and a terrible POTS flare. I just read a fascinating article online that research is indicating an almost non-existent flu season in the regions that typically have flu first (Australia) and they attributing this to increased hygiene and social distancing. That makes me actually feel better about risking no shot again this year.
