  1. I’ve been taking ssri drugs for several years now for an anxiety diagnosis. The problem is that I don’t think I have anxiety. I am 55 in good shape. I work out 3 to 4 days per week both free weights and cardio. Don’t smoke or drink. I’m 6’3” 195 lbs. I’ve exercised since I was in high school. I’m no stranger to the gym or physical activity. I can for example run a mile without issue. I can lift fairly heavy weights without issue. Unfortunately If I climb one flight of six to twelve stairs I’m almost disabled. It’s almost like I’ve run a marathon. Sometimes I have to lie down after this. Also bending down causes the same result. The symptoms are higher heat rate, palpitations, breathlessness, headache, upper back pain. Standing doesn’t seem to affect me so much. Taking a shower is most times challenging. I’ve seen several doctors over the last several years. Not one has even mentioned POTS. I had a full cardio workup about a year ago and all was normalBp is normal and resting hr is 66. I’ve seen it at 135 after two flights of stairs. I’m currently taking Effexor for the symptoms. It helps somewhat. Is this POTS? Please recommend steps should I be taking? Would there be any appropriate doctors in the south Jersey area? TIA. God bless.
