  1. So this might all be strange but hoping someone has something similar with an answer as I've had none with doctors. I'm a 34 year old male who has worked out my entire life and remain in good shape. I did an intense workout that left my heart rate in the 180's for about an hour straight and I felt my stomach throbbing and so I slowed down the workout. Immediately afterwards I was fine, but about 30 minutes later I got really lightheaded and my stomach felt anxious. I attributed it to maybe overexertion or blood sugar dropped (never happened before). So went on with my day. The next day, I wake up fine and I took 40mg of Diovan. Oh, I've always had borderline blood pressure so they had me on a very small dose of Diovan that I've taken for years with zero issues or side effects. An hour later, I got the most intense lightheadedness I've ever had, not dizziness, but the feeling like you are going to faint. I went to the ER and they did a cat scan of my chest up through my head with dye. Everything was perfectly normal, my blood work was also perfectly normal. They sent me to a cardiologist, and my stress test and echo was perfectly normal. They did a 14 day Halter monitor and it was also normal. Then came a gastro. He ordered an MRI of the abdomen and everything came back normal other than a simple cyst on my kidney that I've had for years. They also tested for catocholmines and cortisol and everything was normal, although borderline on the high end. So structurally, it seems everything is fine. I now for two months have had bouts of lightheadedness with waning intensity. This morning, I was talking normally to a few co-workers and began to get lightheaded and my face started to feel hot like I wasn't getting enough oxygen. As soon as they left, I immediately checked my blood sugar and blood pressure and it was normal. I do notice that public places make it worse, and not sure if it's because I'm thinking about it or some sort of stress hormone is being released. This is completely weird for me as I've never had any issues in my prior 34 years of life. I have had some gastro issues like tons of belching and some bloating which they told me to try Prilosec and gave me an antibiotic of which none made a difference. However, I don't want to rule out gastro issues as, I've noticed if my stomach is empty or I drink coffee, it can make my symptoms worse. However, again, never had this issue before the workout. I've also noticed that if I move my eyes really quick on rare occasions or if something moves in the corner of my that I'm not expecting then I can get a sudden anxiety feeling in my stomach and lightheaded. Has anyone else experienced an intense workout followed by bouts of lightheadedness? The trigger was the workout I believe that changed something, but the first real bout of intense lightheadedness was after an hour of taking 40mb of diovan. Any ARB medication seems to really make symptoms worse but my blood pressure remains fine. Can the blood pressure in your brain be lower than your body? Could ARB medications now be affecting something in my body that wouldnt' show up on imaging? Summary Lightheaded bouts for now two months after an intense workout Some gastro related symptoms as well including bloating, belching and anxiety feeling out of nowhere Occasional pressure behind eyes Exercise doesn't seem to cause any issues now Symptoms occur mainly when talking, high stress, or sitting down for an extended period of time, or out in public Brain just doesn't feel like it is getting enough oxygen Cat scan of chest up with dye was normal MRI of abdomen and pelvic normal other than a simple cyst Blood test normal, at least what was taken.
