Hello everyone! I was diagnosed with POTS back in August 2018. My family practice doctor referred me to Dr. Benjamin Levine in Dallas. However, I didn't have the greatest experience with Dr. Levine's nurse practitioner. There was no testing made except a poor man's tilt table test and my blood pressure was checked. The nurse practitioner gave me an exercise packet, and that sums up my entire appointment. The whole experience just didn't feel right and I wanted a second opinion. My family practice doctor referred me to a neurologist Dr. Vernino, in Dallas. Last week, I got a phone call from the hospital and I was thinking that I might get an appointment with Dr. Vernino. I was wrong. The lady on the phone said that I will most likely be rejected as a patient because I saw Dr. Levine. She said that Dr. Vernino cannot do anything different than Levine. This is very frustrating and I feel like I have run out of options. Does anyone know of any doctor in the DFW area that is familiar with POTS and can treat it? Any info on doctors that treat POTS in the DFW area would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
