  1. Hello, my name's Bruno, I'm 18 years old and I'm from Brazil. I'm here to seek help in order to find out whether or not I truly have dysautonomia, since it's not a known disease in the country I live and doctors have no idea what it is. I have already been to 2 cardiologists, 1 endocrinologist and 1 GP. All of them have referred me to a psychologist, blaming my symptoms on anxiety/panic disorder, which I know I do not have, and at the times I do, it's caused by the symptoms I have, and not psychological. I've done 3 EKGs, 1 stress test and 1 holter monitor, which all came out good, no problems at all. The thing is, my symptoms are kind of different from the general POTs dysautonomia that causes tachycardia, I do not feel dizzy or pass out upon standing, although I've become extremely exercise intolerant, to the point my heart races after showering, for example. I also feel extremely breathless, grasping for air whenever my body takes any physical exertion. I don't have to mention walking up stairs, which is a nightmare for me. Eating has also become one of my nightmares, since anything I eat, literally anything causes tachycardia and a very strong heartbeat, also I get bloated after only a few bites. The symptoms I've been experiencing started around a year ago, and they've been getting worse with time. I would like to mention that my heart rate does not return to the normal rate after exercise, it stays high for about 1 to 1 hour and a half after any physical exertion, and also after eating it stays at an elevated rate of up to 100 to 130 for 3 to 4 hours, which I've honestly become used to at this point. I also get tachycardia whenever I fall asleep and wake up shortly after, my whole body trembles with my heart beat and it's really bad. I've been seeking help from doctors but they don't seem to care enough, and just blame it on panic disorder/anxiety. One thing I'd like to mention is that I experienced extreme anxiety/tachycardia after smoking cannabis, but that happened before my symptoms, but everytime I smoked I had an anxiety attack, no matter the amount I smoked, so I stopped, but I only had anxiety attacks/tachycardia when smoking, never had any symptoms when not smoking. I stopped smoking and after about 3 or so months my symptoms started, which I do not believe are related to the cannabis, it's just a coincidence that I had very similar symptoms when smoking. I believe my symptoms started after a very bad viral infection which made me throw up badly and had high fever, which is why I believe it's a nervous system disorder, so basically, to sum it up, my symptoms are; exercise intolerance (tachycardia, short of breath after showering/doing anything that requires physical exertion) and extremely bad fast and strong heartbeat after eating. I've done blood tests to check my vitamins, and apparently they're good, so it can't be iron deficiency or anything, one thing that did came up on one of the blood tests is that I'm extremely deficient on D vitamin, but the doctors said a vitamin D deficiency shouldn't be the cause to my symptoms. So here I am, asking for help from you guys who are experienced with dysautonomia and could help me find out what I truly have. I appreciate every reply to this and I thank you in advance for trying to help me out. xx
