Hello, so sorry your going having a bad time at the minute, l get fevers around one or two a month and have been having these for at least 10 years now , there appears to be no reason for them , lve had food, drink, salt, drugs and even doing to much ( ha...thats a laugh) about the house . what is fairly new for me is the cold and l do mean cold . I have had my temprature taken at 27 degrees before now , shaking, grey, cold sweating and feeling so bad. My consultant doesnt know why l do this but its getting to be once a day if not twice now and its horrible. My only answer to these hyperthermic attacks is to go syraight to bed with a furry blanket next to my skin and add more until you feel comfortable then sleep. Another horrible thing is my husband has woken up in the night to find me like this , turning on all the lights and getting a mirror to see if lm DEAD he then wakes me and l start the piling on of the blankets ......even in the full heat of the summer. As a long term POTS sufferer ( some 48 years now ) l think in my case l can say its definetly one of the many POTS symptoms ....by the way my 27 year old son (POTS started very early on ) gets fevers as well ! look after yourself , stay cool ....stay warm ....and watch lots of romantic dvds .....that warms the body up 😉😉😉xxxxxxxx

Hi all, my heart beat can bottom out now as lve hadots since l was just 13 years old. Its become so low ( lowest measured was 26 bpm) that l start to go grey, have problems getting breath, go stone cold and start to cold sweat....followed by .....black out . Standing up, sitting down, in bed it doesnt matter when, where or at what point in my day when it hits its dam horrible. My Pots man cant understand it my hearts doing crazy fast then bang slow, lve recently had a very bad session in my G.P.s off ice ( scared him white ....999 / 911 call) and so many tests. Its not drugs so lm a bit of a mystery. Look if it gets worse dont be afraid to go to your G.P. or consultant and ask questions , having a very low heart beats not fun, do you go cold and sweat as well? If so tell them its important. So, last time l was on here , about 10 years ago my son Mike was about 15 years old ....its Ami from Deepest Darkest Devon the crazy writter. First my son Mike was diagnosed with POTS at the age of around 17-18 with a TTT and is now on midodrine , pain killers and a few other drugs. Poor old mikes sweats are so bad at this time hes getting fed up. He cannot work because its now attacked both of his legs and he has to have knee braces, he has problems with chronic titedness , concentration and pain 24 ....but that my wonderful son mike....whos now 27 years old !!!! Me.....lve had heart failure , a heart attack, Ive managed to pick up another rare condition ( which l dont have the name for at this time ) lve had at least 4 more operations......lve now been married to Mark my disabled one handed hubby . M.E. hearing aids , two sticks, knee brace, foot brace, degeneration of cervical spine at brainstem ...what brain l ask ......for 15 years soon. Ive just come out of hospital having had a stent put in and lm laying here at now 1:30 am cold sweating like mad again. Do l hate POTS.....l think l can say a positive YES....but as for life well ,l will never stop smiling as life may be crappy but at 61 l still look young...no wrinkles and waist length hair. Our family now have another child ....we adopted a young person from the streets of London a few years ago in her 20s !!!! Gemma , who has medical problems as well is now doing a degree in culinary arts at Birmingham uni .....she makes me so happy and very proud of her.
