My Cardiologist has referee me to a sleep clinic bc of some of the same things GardenGirl is describing. He thinks it is causing sleep apnea. 

Mine is exactly this way. When I get up in the mornings, 20-30 mins later I a literally vibrating, as if I've drink a pot of coffee (which I no longer drink caffeine) and my bom will be over 125. Sometimes I just feel dizzy other times I will black out. My Cardiologist keeps reminding me that I have POTS but I still can't always wrap my head around it!!!

I would love to know what anyone else's Dr's have said regarding this. I forgot to mention that just today my PC has given me a script for Buspar and I'm anxious to see if that helps with the feelings of "coming out of my skin" 

Ohmygosh! I just spoke to my cardiologist about this last week....i even asked can you have panic attacks in your sleep? It sometimes wakes me up around 3:30 or 4 with racing heart, nervousness,shaking, sweating, ECT. I literally stumbled on this post and jumped for joy (sorry but misery loves company 😊) this happens a lot when I get up in the morning as if I have had a whole pot of coffee ( which I had to give up😣) 

He did say it was my POTS, but he is also having me scheduled for a sleep study. I do not sleep well or obviously get into REM sleep. 

I thought I was losing my mind, glad to know I am not losing my mind!
