  1. Yes my do is concussion & whiplash from car accident. They guess dysautonomia is from concussion but possibly from neck affecting nerves. But regardless of cause of dysautomnia, it's amazing that a heart monitor wouldn't pick up such irregularity. I had 2 weeks of blood pressure drops (not POTS) they are still miffed about. Finally my PT noted big heart rate fluctuations during Buffalo Protocol (treadmill) test. Momtoguliana: I had to shop for years for good primary that will give me a referral anywhere I want her to as long as I come see her 1st for evaluation on it. Anyway, you may want to switch if yours doesnt. Keep calling cardiologists. Some will take without referral. Urkitenme: Do push the button on the monitor when symptoms. Keep detailed log of symptoms, matching exact date & time. Hard to argue with good detailed log. But no symptoms= nothing there.
  2. Just got voice mail from Dr office after they received results from 14 day heart monitor (Zio patch). Said everything looks fine , see my primary care Dr if still symptoms. I'm so mad at the callousness! Yes I'm still having symptoms & how could something recording my heart for 14 days not pick that up? Sometimes it feels my heart's beating out of my chest. Sometimes I gasp as it skips a beat then beats hard. Often fluttering. Almost every night sense of electricity in mychest. How could a monitor not get this?
  3. Just got mri of neck & can't c any nerve impingement. Said wouldn't necessarily show that. Dr said could simply b that injury caused inflammation that reduces flow in nerve ,but most likely due to concussion ax disruptions to autonomic nervous system common. But I can't find much about heart pvc's or blood pressure plummets. Anyone had those?
  4. Yes! This is exactly what I've been experiencing too! I keep reading all this postural connection but never found anything on it happening upon lying down. I don't get it on standing or exercise hardly ever. I get it at random times , too, but 75% of the times I lie down I get it. Just finished 2wks on heart monitor so hopefully ill have results in a wk. Feels so stimulating heart being so weird, that even when I "know" I'm ok, it's still hard to sleep. Sorry you are going through that, but have to say I'my relieved to find somebody else with this. Please post anything else you find out. I've also had blood pressure drops upon lying down. Do you get those too? I believe my dysautonomia is from car accident 7 wks ago. But dr doesnt. She's puzzled. Heart started after couple wks & blood pressure drops about 4the wk. Not sure if it would be from my concussion or whiplash. Do you know what yours is from?
  5. Got head CT & mri. Scheduled for neck. Does it sometimes happen that whiplash can impinge major nerve that reads heart signals? Will neck mri show such a thing?
  6. Anybody heard of sudden drops in blood pressure that are not from standing? My Dr wonders if this is unrelated to concussion but that would just be too coincidental. Got concussion & whiplash in car accident 7 weeks ago & slowly downhill since. Heart palpitations started 1st week. At first just occasional pvc's, but now feels like constant electricity in chest with pulsation in ears. Blood pressure drops started 4th week with associated weakness & dizziness. Once dropped to 88/48 then 40 min later 129/85 & convulsions or shuddering & couldn't speak. (My normal is 110/84). Can happen anytime, but often starts upon laying down. Doctors r miffed. I've searched about 50 things online & am finding nothing so thought I should ask a forum. I feel it must have to do with this flaming concussion or neck pain. Anyone heard of this?
