  1. I was diagnosed with POTS about 3 years ago and just have had a run of bad luck since. 8/12 I was feeling really ill with Stomach problems and was sent to a Gastrointestinal Physician and they discovered HPylori went on a Triple Antibiotic med and was cleared of this but still was feeling ill. I was sent to a Specialist in Louisville who diagnosed me with Spastic Colon and was given Amitriptyline and it truly didn't help me. About a month ago I had another Endoscopy and was diagnosed with SIBO. Went on two antibiotics and still don't feel well. I wakeup with Severe Headaches and Lower back pain. I sweat a lot at Night as well and have noticed Dark Spots like Age spots coming up all on my upper body. I have a lot of floaters as well. I'm just so scared and don't know what I should do. I have to see my GP tom. Does anyone have any advice that I can share with my GP. I'm just so ready to give up. Thanks and God Bless.

  2. This is interesting, does anyone know if there's any literature on gut issues in the more "hyper" forms of POTS? My doctor is now thinking that I do in fact have hyper POTS, and my digestive issues are quite different from this.

I managed to avoid the dreaded "IBS" being put on my medical record because they actually termed it "spastic colon" (which I find hilarious), but basically I've got the opposite of gastroparesis going on. Food goes right through me, so fast that my doctor actually thinks its causing some of my nutritional deficiencies. I can somewhat manage it by avoiding certain foods that I seem to have a minor allergy to, but I always wonder if this is typical of a certain subset of POTS patients.

Margie, How are they treating you for Spastic Colon? I've been diagnosed with this as well
  3. We'll in 2010 I was dealing with Dislocated ribs in my Upper back area Left side. Went to GP complaining of this issue. Was told it was a pulled muscle. We'll 8 months later I informed my GP again about my issue and finally did an MRI and discovered the slipped rib and was sent to Chiropracter and adjusted several times and that was over 25 visits and rib would not stay in place. We'll in 2011 I was in my Garage and I noticed my heart was beating out of my Chest when I stood up So I went to ER and was referred to A Cardiologist and was administered EKG, Monitors and Tilt Table test that confirmed my POTS. We'll I was then prescribed Bystolic 5 mg. And seemed to be doing alright with the Bystolic. So last summer I had a bad infected tooth and was prescribed Antibiotics for the Infection. After taking the Meds I started noticing my stomach would gurgle and I would get Headaches and Sweating. I informed my GP and he referred me to GI specialist and after a Upper EGD and Colonoscopy I was diagnosed with HPylori. Took the PrevPac for 14 days and took Stool Sample and Biopsy and was found to Eradicated. We'll I went to follow up visits and informed them that I still did not feel well and was sent to University of Louisville to see another Specialist and after him running several blood tests and me informing him of my ailments He diagnosed me with Spastic Colon and I'm so confused If it's POTS that can be the cause of all my issues? I wakeup with Crusty eyes and blurred vision and the veins in my eyes are becoming noticeable to I and My Wife. I wakeup with Headaches and just don't feel well. Should I request to see a Cardiologist and get more treatment for POTS? I'm just so confused and scared and want a better Quality of Life. I apologize for my rambling but I have never felt so bad in my Life. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks :)
