  1. I've had the same issue for a long time. My Neuro sent me to a Pulmonologist. After several tests they found I am only breathing at 52% of normal. It's worth checking out.
  2. The Spinal Tap is a bit annoying, nothing more. They numb the area so you don't feel much.
  3. I have the same issue. My Neurologist sent in for a test than to a Pulmonologist. The test results show I am at 60/120 and 82/120 meaning my diaphragm and lungs are only working at roughly 50%. Back in for alot more testing later this week. The problem is the Autonomic system controls the diaphragm so I may be screwed.
  4. The USA is so far behind in research it's unbelievable. Sanjay Gupta did a special on CNN a few months back that is worth watching. As to Cardio, I'm at the gym 6 days a week. I can only tell you that it's getting harder and harder. Not the exercise itself but about an hour later I'm about ready to fall apart. My issues are of course different as we all are. I'm told if I stop cardio and weight lifting that I will never be able to go back. I've been hitting the gym for 25 years so its a way of life for me. As of my last doctor meeting last month my condition has now moved to degenerative nerve disease so that kinda stinks. My moods are really even after I smoke, no side effects. Just sayin.
  5. This may not be popular, I know my Nero doesnt approve but smoking a small amount of marijuana get's me through the days when I'm a mess. It completely calms my body and lets me get my work done. I stress a small amount, not enough to get high, just enough to take the edge off. Honestly without I don't know what I would do at this point. Just my worthless $0.02. I will say I work from my house which makes it easy.
  6. What I have found is stress is the major cause for my flareups. Anyone have a cure for stress ?? LOL
  7. I do this all day and all night..... At night it's a symptom of sleep apnea for which I am considered borderline. Not a chance I'd wear a face mask to sleep anyhow. It's become so normal for me that I don't notice it much but people around me sure notice it. I have discussed with my doctors and they have very little to say about it.
  8. Your not alone. Luckily I office from home which makes a massive difference dealing with the symptoms and such.assive
  9. I'm at the gym 6 days a week. I switch each day and rotate my cardio between the bike, elliptical and treadmill. I do not notice any difference in my symptoms between them. The treadmill wears me out the most but most likely because I try to go too fast.
  10. I tried a Chiropractor and it did not help. My neurologist and Internist FYI where highly against me seeing one as they felt it could do more harm than good.
  11. I fully accept my illness and work around it. It will not control me or beat me. It's simply adapt and continue. There are certain things that set me up for hard attacks like the gym. I still go 6 days a week and deal with the after affects.
  12. I see yellow often and have issues at time feeling like I am waiting for my eyes to focus on objects. I'm on no meds but I'm told this is a normal symptom. An interesting side note; prior to having this symptom I got a eye exam. They asked if I had issues with blood pressure as they saw issues in my eyes that reflect high blood pressure. Never boring.
  13. I still have 180k I am appealing..... The amount is so large I can't say I am too concerned. If I have to pay I'll send them $50 a month for the rest of my life LOL. MY main issue is my Doctors office/Hospital should have know I'd face this issue ahead of time.
  14. I know that staying away from all types of Sugar raises my energy level big time.....
