I recently moved up to North New Jersey and am looking for a primary care physician with some knowledge of POTS. To clarify, I already work with a specialist but because I moved I am no longer able to see the specialist I work with in Maryland on a regular of a basis. To avoid starting all over with a new specialist I am hoping to find a primary care doctor with some knowledge of POTS (or willingness to learn), who will be willing to collaborate with the specialist that I already work with and prescribe the medications that I am already on that require regular office visits (every 90 days). Before finding the specialist I currently work with I saw a number of primary care doctors unwilling to help manage the POTS without working with "their" preferred specialist or even at all. I am hoping to avoid this exhausting back and forth process again if possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!
