  1. Ok, im going to take a chance on this one, being a guy I might get seriously flamed for this, but..... At 125 lbs, you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of, for every guy who would say a comment like that, there are 10 who would look at you and think WOW!!!! Dont let his mean words stick in your mind, human nature makes people say bad things about others to make ourselves feel better.
  2. I was born in Altoona PA, but we moved to Ohio when I was like 6 years old. I knew that it seemed like there were a lot of people on here from Ohio, but I never knew how many until I read this thread. Must be something in the water.......
  3. I wear the Focus night and day contacts, the ones that you leave in for 30 days at a time, actually now that I think about it, I dont think I have changed them for about 6 weeks...... Except for the occasional piece of dirt in my eye that drives me nuts, I dont have any problems, the extended wear are supposed to pass air much better than the daily wear contacts.
  4. Ugh!!!!! I wanted to go sooooo bad, but I had to go to San Francisco for work this weekend. I cant wait for the next get together and hope I am able to attend.
  5. I know exactly what you are saying, I try to avoid going to bed at night until my wife goes to sleep, because if she wants some, there is about a 50% chance it will cause me not to be able to sleep for a while. I used to have a high sex drive, and still do to a point, but scared at what might happen afterwards. My wife isnt the supportive type though, I hear about it all the time, that my problems are all in my head, blah blah.......
  6. One other thing is to make sure you are up to date with all of the windows updates, there are certain viruses out there that you dont have to do anything to get because they take advatage of security flaws in windows. If you dont already have your computer to download updates automaticly, you should check once a week on the windows update site and make sure you have done at least all of the critical updates.
  7. Count me in too, I will do my best to attend, I travel alot for work, but I hope it works out so I can come, I live in Warren, but I work in Elyria, so anywhere in the Cleveland area is good for me
  8. I know the bones in my neck and shoulders crack alot, but not in my legs, the odd thing is since I have taken up bowling again, my right shoulder does not crack anymore. For me, I dont get any pain, well yet anyway, just sounds painfull.
  9. Yes, he is a great doctor, he only sees patients one day a week, so there might be some wait to see him, but when you do see him, he will get things going quick.
  10. I hope she is ok, that nothing serious is wrong with her, I will say a prayer for her. I have to stop and get something from Dr. Chelimsky's office, does she see him? If so, I really like him, she is in good hands.
  11. The FCC mandated that all cell phones must have some way to track 911 calls, some use GPS, some use the network to triangulate where the phone is. Nextel is the only one that has the ability for the end user to track where the phone is, all the rest of the phones out there that are GPS capable are just for when you have to dial 911.
  12. I am a wireless geek, so I can help you in this respect, what company is your cell from? If you have a Nextel phone, there is a service that can be added called "mobile locator", if you have this feature on your account, you can log onto their website and click a button that will show the current location of the phone ( as long as its powered on). Check out the link below. They also have other GPS locating tools, I use one here so that I can track our drivers when they are on the road, can create reports showing everywhere they were in a given day, how long their stops were, and even if they were speeding on the highway!!!!! Nextel mobile locator If you are interested in doing something like this, I can point you in the proper direction.
  13. Dr. Chelimsky is a great doctor, he only sees patients one day a week, but they did a great job in getting me in to see him. I have had some issues in the last month, when I called in and left a message for him, he called me back the next day himself. I was shocked, I had never had a doctor call me back personally, always one of the nurses.
  14. I have not been diagnosed with anything yet either, but the sleep problems drive me absolutly nuts. There was one night last week where I knew I was not going to get to sleep, so I just went in to work (I have an understanding boss) and stayed there all night, I left at 7am. My normal hours are 8am to 5pm. I am wide awake here tonight, and if tomorrow was not a scheduled day off, I would be heading into work right now, as I feel like I am not going to sleep at all tonight. It drives my wife nuts when I am unable to sleep at night, but then during the day when I get tired enough, I am able to sleep, sometimes she just does not understand that I cant control it. It feels like I am on a roller coaster ride, the only thing I can do is take advantage of the up time to get things done, and rest when I can. Most of the problems I have are when I am at rest, when I am lying down, I can feel my heart pound, which causes me to get lightheaded spells, the only thing that can relax me is to take a nice hot shower or bath, which seems to be the exact opposite of most people here. When I am at work and active, I rarly have any problems. Ugh!!!!!!!!!
  15. For me, a nice hot shower or bath is relaxing, it actually helps my symptoms, I wish I had the money to go and buy a hottub, but then I would never want to get out.....
  16. I know I dont usually have any problems with heat, but when it comes to cold, it does not take much to make me shiver, and when that happens about the only thing I can do to warm up is to soak in a nice warm tub for about an hour and then jump into bed under the covers. I was supposed to move to San Antonio this past summer but it didnt work out with my employer (but that was also before I learned about POTS). I still want to move there sooooooo bad, I love it there!!!!!
  17. Although I have not been diagnosed with anything yet ( I think my doctor still thinks I am a loon) I will second the cool bath helping, when I get lightheaded and spaced out, I will soak for an hour or so in a nice cool tub of water and that does wonders. This is my first post here and I have to say I have learned more in one week after finding a group on Yahoo, seeing this site mentioned there and reading all the info here, than I have in the last 5 or so years I have dealt with these dizzy spells that have made my life far from normal. Thanks in advance for all the help!!!!!
