  1. I think there was a poll on this... mine were very low also. I know for a "normal" person you don't get symptoms or feel bad when your vitamin D is low. I'm not sure about us though...
  2. Oh my gosh, I was just about to make a post about this! They are so annoying and really weird looking too.
  3. I responded terribly to midodrine. It made my heart rate drop too low, I got many side effects, and it did not help my blood pressure.
  4. My mom got me a hypnosis cd, which sounds silly but I do feel truly relaxed while listening to it.
  5. I had this exact thing also but it started happening right after I went on midodrine. When I stopped the midodrine it stopped too so I guess it was a reaction. Could yours possibly be a reaction also?
  6. I just read other posts describing the surges and yep that's definitely what it was. Wow, they feel really scary. Thanks for replying at this hour too.
  7. All I have is midodrine, which makes me feel worse. Ironically I have an appointment in two days where they are going to try another medication. I'm starting to feel a little better, I just hope it doesn't happen again.
  8. My bp is not going down and I'm still very nauseous and shaky. How do you know when you should go to the ER? I have never had this happen before so it really freaks me out. My bp has been in the 150's over 100 for about a half hour.
  9. My body feels very strange. Very relaxed to the point of all my limbs feeling like jelly. I just took two Tylenol PMs because I have a cold so I guess that could have something to do with it. I was super tierd so I went to bed but five minutes after I dozed off I woke with a start my heart pounding and felt a wave of nausea. It happened three times and now I am shaking a lot. I took my bp right after getting out of bed and it was higher than ever before. Is this an adrenaline rush?
  10. Sometimes when I'm standing I can't feel my feet or legs for a split second and it feels like I'm "floating" kind of. Is that what you mean by out of body experience?
  11. My GI has been some what helpful. Luckily, we found one that is very knowledgeable on POTS and he has been trying to find me the right medication. He has also diagnosed me with a stomach ulcer, GERD, and lactose intolerance. If we can finally find a medication that works to help my nausea I would say it was very beneficial.
  12. Wow- it's like we have exactly the same thing going on. I just lost fifteen pounds from not eating, but I never throw up either I just can not stand the thought of food.
  13. Wow, that really sounds like POTS to me. Have you had a Table Tilt Test? If not you should ask your cardio about it- that's how I was diagnosed with POTS.
  14. I'm 15 and I very similar symptoms- nausea every day and IBS. I've been going to a GI doctor for three years and have been diagnosed with GERD and a stomach ulcer. Has he had an endoscopy or colonoscopy? If not they may want to do one to rule out a stomach ulcer/ other problems I have also barely been eating and was put on Prevacid, Zantac, and Zoloft. Unfortunately none of them have helped me and we are going to try something else. I hope you can get an appointment soon!
  15. I know a low grade fever is a symptom of POTS, but 101 seems kind of high if it happens a lot. I get a fever randomly too but it's usually up to 100 and I feel feverish.
  16. This summer when I was doing better I was able to walk around a lake near my house with my friends. I have been walking lately so I thought I would be fine. I was also feeling pretty good today. Well it's a loop and up to the halfway point I was doing fine. Then I started to get dizzy but I couldn't go home or anything because I was in the woods. I took a break and kept walking. I got incredibly weak and nauseous and was almost throwing up by the time I made my way to my mom's car. I was with my family and some friends so if anything really bad did happen they could have helped me. I am still feeling very weak now and was wondering what else I should do besides rest to help myself recover? Also, what other exercises are easier on us than walking?
  17. This happens to me too! The exact same thing. It's almost like my body doesn't need food or something. Unfortunately I have no idea why it happens though. The only thing I can think of is maybe there is a certain thing in a lot of foods that triggers my POTS, but I don't know...
  18. I live in Virginia. But we are coming to North Carolina for a week this summer for our vacation . How far away is Duck from where you live?
  19. I'm 15. I would love to do that- such a good idea!
  20. Yeah, the jelly leg feeling is a good way to describe it- but all over not just my legs.
  21. Sometimes all of the sudden when I'm standing I will get this weird feeling like my whole body goes weak. I feel like I could fall over, but I'm not dizzy. It usually only lasts a second, but it happens over and over. It usually happens at night, but it has been happening all day today. Has anyone experienced this, or know what it could be?
  22. I'm glad your feeling better! I really don't think it's the aspartame though. It's been known to cause seizures and other side effects when had in excess.
  23. I get this also so I tried chewing gum or sucking candy/ tic tacs. I am nauseous all the time so I was always chewing something which really helped. The bad thing is I have nine cavities, it was not a good idea. I can't chew sugarless gum because there is something in it that gives me acid reflux.
