  1. I have been on Klonopin for about 1 1/2 yrs. and take .5mg at about 8pm. I am fighting daytime sleepiness till about 2 pm. I am going to speak to my nurse about cutting down to .25mg to see if that helps. Has anyone else experienced the same? Liz

  4. I hope and pray that you are getting better! What meds do you take? Embrace it and the reason you may not be feeling well is because your body is re-adjusting....just guessing Good luck and post followups Liz
  5. My son (almost 12) tested positive for the flu a few weeks ago. He does not have pots. The urgent care md gave us both tamiflu. We both took 2 doses and that was it!! His pediatrician did not want him on it since the side effects can be bad and not worth it. Sure enough, 45 min after his 2nd pill he was vomiting several times. I decided to stop it for both of us. He had a very mild case and I think his symptoms were so mild due to the fact he is on Olive Leaf Extract. My daughter and I are on it as well and did not catch the flu. Hope you feel better soon. Liz
  6. My BP has been running high the last two weeks! I do not and have not had low BP issues. I am freezing all of the time and I was diagnosed with Raynaud's last year but not on beta blockers...can not tolerate them liz
  7. could you tell us what is involved in the 2 week treatment plan? I am curious and how are you doing now? Is it worth the trip? liz
  8. Please do not get yourself worked up over the TTT. The staff is there to assist you and are trained to help if it is needed. I have never fainted, have had 2 TTT. The first one was 10 min and the 2nd was 45 min. I did not faint on either one. Good luck and let us know how it goes! liz
  9. I have been on Ivabradine since May 2012 and it really has helped me. It is npt available in the US. I order it from a Canadian pharmacy with a RX from my POTS specialist who is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist. He is in Auburn Alabama and I drive 2 hours to see him. He suggested Ivabradine as I was not doing well with beta blockers. I do not have IST...just plain ole POTS. I met a girl at the gym who had an ablation and she is worse now than she was before. It was only a temporary fix. I would definately recommend a second opinion. Good luck! Liz
  10. I do not pass out either. My 1st TTT was only 10min and my 2nd was 45 min. I did not pass out on either nor did they inject me with any meds. That was the maximum test time for each TTT Liz
  11. Good Luck and please let me know! I am not on the board that much so you are more than welcome to send me a message liz
  12. I am on Ivabradine.....see the recent post about it that Jangle started. I can try to answer any questions you may have. I love the medication liz
  13. I just saw this post or would have responded sooner......did they have you stop the Atenolol? My md had me stop the metoprolol 3 days before the test and all supplements 6 weeks prior. I was given my TTT results the same day liz
  14. Jangle, I would have to say that I am an 8-9. Some days I do still have fatigue but I think that it is because 1. hormones 2. I do so much many days because I do feel so well. My heart rate ranges from 65-75 standing now and Ivabradine does not affect my BP at all. I never had issues with low BP...if anything it was on the higher side but not all of the time. Hope this answers your question
  15. They will not process an order without an RX...not one of "those" kinds of pharmacies Liz
  16. I use northwestpharmacy.com and get the generic which is 100 5mg pills for $45 and $10 shipping. I order 300 pills at a time Liz

  18. I am on Ivabradine and have been since the end of May. I LOVE it!! I am in the US and lucky to have a specialist to prescribe it. I order it online and my md faxes over a script. It is a reputable pharmacy as I asked them a zillion questions. My meds are ordered thru Canada and shipped from Germany Liz
  19. Has anyone used this brand? http://saltstick.com/products/sscaps/cingredients.htm I emailed my POTS specialsts nurse to see what she thinks about it. They also make a "Plus" capsule that has caffeine but don't think that we need that liz
  20. My POTS specialist said to make sure that you are given 1bag of lactated ringera before during and after. You may need more than that depending on the length of the surgery. best of luck Liz
  21. You are welcome.....if you try it, I hope it works for you too! liz
  22. do some research on Red Marine Algae and Olive Leaf Extract. I have been taking both for quite some time . My EBV dna levels were elevated so I found these supplements at my local nutrition center. About 6 months later, the EBV DNA test was resdone and my levels were below range. I have the dosage listed in my signature. Good luck~ Liz
