Has anyone ever felt actual heart pain and then a knife pain in the center of the chest? I don't think it's a minor heart attack because I don't feel pressure on the chest or breathing problems. It seems to occur when I have picked up a virus. I also can get tingling on the left side of the face at that time. Afterwards, I'm completely wasted with soreness from the pain.

This is now my third day with tingling (pins and needles) down my entire left side. I have also had increased headaches. My doctor is concerned about a stroke. I had a CAT scan which showed no major stroke coming. I'm waiting for a MRI to see if a minor one is possible. Has anyone else had tingling like this on one side for more than one day? I wondering if I have a virus because normally my left side of my face tingles when I get one. However, I have no other viral symptoms. I also curious about my birth control pills.

POTS was worse during my periods, even on YAZ. I think it may be connected to the blood loss and hormone change. My OB/GYN now has me not finish the packet. I do not take the lasts days of pill that are a different color. I stop the packet before it's finished and start a new one. This keeps my body from shedding or bleeding. I noticed an increase in energy and improvement in symptoms that month. This has worked great for over a year. This month problems have started. I've been shedding for three weeks and I'm having pre-stroke symptoms. It may not be connected to the pills but it seems logical. I also have endometriosis and was put on YAZ to help with the pain. I'm now looking into a different pill or a hysterectomy.

I was diagnosed with POTS in 2008 but my doctor thinks I probably had it since 1996. I seemed to develop it after getting the flu. My 7 year old daughter, who has sensory integration disorder, is now showing symptoms of POTS. I'm getting ready to have her tested. She misses school at least once a week due to tiredness, leg pain and poor immune system. Her sitting heart rate is 57, standing is between 97-120. When I initially started researching POTS I remember reading something about there being a possible genetic link between mothers and their children, particularly with daughters. Do any of you have POTS and your child? I'm also curious how young some of the children are because most seem to be in their teens. Seven seems very young. Do the young children tend to improve or have it for long term? Any help would be great. Having two people in one family with POTS seems unreal and hard to get my head around. I'm starting to research other disorders that may have the same symptoms. I'm curious because she is able to put her head below her heart and can spin around, both of which makes me sick.
