  1. Thanks guys for all of the replies. I did spell the drug name wrong, it is flomax. Brain fog is something else, isn't it? Sorry about that. I still haven't tried the medication. I am so sensitive and such a chicken. This is a capulse and says not to break or I would split it in half. What a great idea. My doc said you don't know if it will cause a reaction until you try it. Easy for him to say. Again thanks for the support.
  2. I had to go to a SSI doc exam. It was a joke. I tried to give him some info about OI. He just grunted at me. Gave me an eye exam, looked in eyes, ears, throat, poked around on my stomach, made me stand on one leg, did some neuro stuff, and then he was done. It only took him about 5 minutes. He just kept saying, "I only do the exam I don't make the decision." I told my lawyer about his exam. When we went before the judge, the judge brought up that the doc said my exam was normal. My lawyer then started asking me questions, like did you try and give him info on your condition and he refuesed to look at it, how long did your exam last, etc. My lawyer kind of made the doc out to look like a jerk. I would not worrry about it. Just go not expecting much. Who knows, maybe your doc will be nice. Good luck. Let me know how it goes.
  3. I was wondering if anyone has used the drug flomox? I finally went to the urologist yesterday. After peeing, I held 10 oz of fluid in my bladder. He wants me to start taking flomax at bedtime. He said it could cause dizziness so to take it right before I go to sleep. Due to past problems with medications, I am such a chicken when it comes to trying new drugs. I asked him if there was another option. He said I could self cath. everynight. I don't like that option either. Does anyone have any advice or similar experiences? Thanks.
