  1. Went to Cleveland Clinic. They refured us to an endoctronologist, psychiatrist, nerologist. They will be testing him for adrenal stuff, thyroid, cortisol, and some other stuff. He is now in a wheel chair because he can't stand up without passing out. He even passes out while sitting sometimes. The chair that is on order I think somehow tips back for when he passes out. I am not sure if I understood them right though. Does anyone know if working around toxic chemical will cause this. Also will this appear out of no where on a very healthy person after becoming extremely dehydrated. All of his problems started after he worked for a toxic spill chemical clean up place. The company refuses to tell us what the chemicals were he was working with. We are in the process of getting a laywer to help sort this out and start a law suit if need be. I am convinced that something he came into contact with on the job created this illness in him. At his job he had to wear a white vitex suit. He became very very dehydrated in this suit. The temperatures where he worked are above 110 degrees on an average day. The only chemical we know he came into contact with for sure is lyme dust.
  2. My husband sees doctor Fouad also. She is wonderful though we still can't figure out what is going on totally with my husband. We were there yesterday. She hooked him up with a portable heart monitor. She wants to see how his heart rate reacts in a normal life situation. Good luck to you! What does the blood volume test test for? Dr Fouad has not done this test on my husband yet. He may not be stable enough though.
  3. The Cleveland Clinic refered my husband to and endoctrinologist, and a psychiatrist for more test to figure out his symptoms not related to pots. They think maybe he has cushings disease. He now also wears a portable heart monitor so I know when he should go to the ER and when it is ok to stay home.
  4. My husband was diagnosed with POTS last Oct. Since then his health has been getting worse and worse. The doctors at the Cleveland Clinic say that some of his symptoms do not fit POTS. They can not figure out what is wrong with him. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms and can offer some advice in figuring out what is wrong. Stoke and Heart attack has already been ruled out. Symptoms are: Tounge goes to right Can't speak Can't swallow Horrible headache on left side of head Left side weakness Feels cold all over Feels like eye is going to pop out from pressure Eye pain Gold rings around pupils Can't walk Dizzy Eyes do not work like they are supposed to Chest pain Feels like heart is beating so hard it shakes his head Pain down left arm Sometimes ear pain Episodes of syncope Dehydration even though he is constantly drinking Extreme fatigue Insombia Shortness of breath and difficulty breathing Racing heart beat Can't use left arm/leg at times Sweating a lot I know some of these symptoms are from POTS, but some are not. Can someone help me get help in finding a diagnosis and more importantly a treatment that works. So far nothing has helped the POTS or these other symptoms. I was told by the Docs. that there is an underlying cause of POTS. We have not figured out this underlying cause as of yet. Thanks!
