  1. ????? no one? i thought it was a common symptom among POTSies
  2. by inability i don?t mean "total inability", but I?m almost sure I don?t sweat as much as I did some weeks ago!! but how can I be sure of that? is there any symptoms associated with this condition? i?ve just noticed I get a little warmer than before when exercising... i just did a little bit of running(5 minutes), just to see if I would sweat... i actually did sweat a little, specially in my hips, but it was so little!! I?m afraid this is a permanent condition, cuz i know that sweating is very important, specially to get rid of the stuff your body doesn?t need anymore... is there anything we can do to treat it?(besides medications...) is it likely to be permanent, or could it go away? recently i lost the ability to cry tears...(i have what they call dry eyes), could it be related? aaaaaaaaaaagggggh, it makes me so angry that each month my list of "symptoms"(actually they are diseases), keeps increasing so ya, it would be awesome to hear your experiences on the subject, or stuff you read, or the doctors told ya... i know the topic is not about dry eyes, but if must be somehow related, so feel free to talk about that too... take care gals/guys!!!! noam
  3. calypsio, now im the one right behind ya!! this is such a coincidence!! the odds must be like 1 to 10.000!!!!! i myself don?t know anybody who faints!!(and I must know at least 100 people ) but maybe they met each other at a "dysautonomia support group" or something like that... or they just felt attracted to each other because they had a lot in common( i can totally understand it, a POTSie girl would probally have a special appeal on me, for sure) dear dionna, would you tell us a little about how you met? was it "randomly"(haha, i don?t mean that you chose anyone, but you know what I mean...)? take care you all noam
  4. I too am interested to know about "muscle tone in the legs"... i hate working out the muscles, but i guess i should try it but hey, I was kind of in a "awe state" when I read that you drink 10 bottles of gatorate a day!!!!!! first of all, isn?t it tooooooo expansive? are you sure you are supposed to drink so much gatorate, as it?s definitely not something natural????? don?t you have any "side effects"? talk to ya later dionna
  5. one of "my" cardiologists said that I should take meds for to lower my heart rate(when sitting/standing) but isn?t that dangerous? i mean, tachycardia is not our primary "disease"... we only have tachycardia because we don?t adapt very well to the orthostatic tachycardia(im aware this information is like a breaking news for ya , huahahaha) but seriously, it?s obvious for me that one should be careful taking meds for tachycardia, cuz the heart actually needs to speed up, as a response to a serious of things POTSies have when they stand so could someone explain to me how this really works? i wish I could spend hours on the internet searching for it on the internet, but i can?t, so you?re help is really needed thanks for reading my post
  6. The nurse who performed the eletroctrocardiogram on me said that something was definitely wrong with me, as she had trouble finding my pulse!! she said this happens with old people, but she has never seen it in a young lad like myself what could it be? low blood volume? my doctor said this was "nothing"... haha, but he also said that dysautonomia was nothing, so I would be naive to believe him
  7. both my cardiologist and my neurologist have told me that there?s NO WAY i could get a blood volume test, unless i was willing to pay thousands for it... how am I supposed to find out if I have low blood volume? is there any specific name for this "low blood test"? and if I do have it, what difference does it make?(i know a little about the effects of it, but I already do what you gals do to treat it - a high salt/fluids intake diet- so nothing would change in my life) anyways, I would love to know if I have it, cuz I also suffer from another terrible disease: CURIOSITY! i can?t stand not knowing whether or not my blood volume is below normal... take care you all noam P.S: i?m a potsie
