mkoven Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 I find it odd and frustrating how variable my symptoms are. I can go for stretches when I feel almost normal, and then the past two days (surprise, surprise, I have my period), I feel faint, short of breath, head pounding, vision-greying , chest tight, anytime I sit or stand still. Even a couple minutes of computer time and I have to put my head between my knees. It's like the way the electricity starts to dim in the middle of the storm, without actually losing full power. Hate it. I wish my good stretches were extendable and i don't understand why the variaiton, other than hormones wreaking havoc. Oy. Quote
Mrs. Burschman Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 I know what you mean. I have a lot of variability, and a lot of variability in what symptoms are variable! If it's really bad during menstruation, have you ever talked with your doctor about taking continuous birth control or trying the Mirena IUD? People who use the Mirena do have spotting for a while, but eventually, most women stop having their periods because it thins out the uterine lining. Just a thought! Sorry you're miserable right now!Amy Quote
