lalalisa Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 Radha,I have no idea if this will help you or not but have you tried over the counter gas-x? This may be a silly question I know but I know it really does help me when I feel bloated. I've had a hard time adjusting to various supplements such as Calcium Citrate and also Vitamin D...they make me feel bloated and give me various GI symptoms. Thankfully over the counter gas x seems to help.Just a thought....Lisa Quote
Radha Posted September 23, 2007 Author Report Posted September 23, 2007 thanks for your suggestion, yes i have tried gas x and it does help alittle but i wanted to know if any of you had any ideas what could be causing this, or just another part of POTS and blood pooling? i dont have any acid reflux or indigestion, just terrible bloating, gas and sometimes nausea, thanks for any helpradha Quote
Mrs. Burschman Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 I know that irritable bowel can cause those symptoms, and it can go along with POTS. I have both.Do you eat yogurt? Or take acidophilus pills? I know that getting some "good" bacteria into your system is supposed to help. I noticed there's even ads on to that effect now for some kind of yogurt called Dannon Activa. It's supposed to help with the digestive system.Good luck! Quote
yogini Posted September 23, 2007 Report Posted September 23, 2007 If this is a newly increased symptom, you should see a gastro about it. Quote
Tanzanite Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Could also be celiac disease. Definitely have some tests done. Quote
Radha Posted September 26, 2007 Author Report Posted September 26, 2007 thanks for all your replies, i know i dont have celiac and these symptoms are worse at some times than others even with eating the exact same foods and so little food, so its strange, so many questions with this disease but no answers, its so frustrating! thanks again for replying, radha Quote
