goldicedance Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 I was surprised when Dr. Grubb told me the reason for taking PROCRIT is for its powers to increase vasoconstriction. I had thought it was to increase blood volume.Does anyone have more information?Lois Quote

AJVDK Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Hello,I take procrit to help increase my blood volume, and to keep my hematocrit up. I have been on it for about six months now. Not sure if this helps! Have a great day! Quote
persephone Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Hello! I take it for its vasoconstructive effect- to raise my bp. It made me go from this to thisin a matter of weeks Quote
Radha Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 would procrit help even if your hematocrit was normal but total volume was low? thanksradha Quote
goldicedance Posted February 7, 2007 Author Report Posted February 7, 2007 thanks for the information. Persephone, it looks like you are taking it for the reason Dr. Grubb explained to me.Before seeing Dr. Grubb, I thought the reason was to increase blood volume--that does not seem to be the case. Persephone, wow, what a difference Procrit made for you!!!!! You are the poster girl for procrit for POTS!Lois Quote
