I am interested in feedback on this as well. This was a suggested treatment for me at one time, but my family md didn't agree due to side affects. I agreed with him, as he has known my particular situation for many years.

I have been on it for 5 years. I didn't see mention of it in anyones signature- that is why I asked. I can tell you that there is a manditory EKG shorthly after starting it. Only that one tho.

Hi Pat,

Haven't taken it but the electrophysicist wanted me on it to bring the heart rate down. But after seeing the side effect of sudden death I declined. May have to take it eventually though. He wanted to put in a loop monitor in as well for other reasons heart rate wise but I'm not too sure about taking those steps yet.

How has this particular medication helped you if you don't mind me asking?

I very rarely feel my heart pumping now, where as before I felt the junction rythm flutters and brad pounds on and off all day and I don't know maybe I was feeling normal sinus beat to. Now its all quiet. However by far the best thing is I've passed out once in 5 years and that was after a colonoscopy. I was dehydrated. I was passing out 1 to 4 times a month. I could not drive for 4 years because of that. I can now!!!!!!!!!

I was given a trial of norpace years ago, and it did not help me at all. I think a cardiologist would be much more likely to prescribe it than a neurologist.
