Don't Mean To Be A Broken Record, But...

hi linda -

i hadn't had a chance to reply yet but there are only three members of the forum that i'm aware of who have a definite or even probable mito diagnosis. one hasn't been active on the board for sometime, the other has been recently diagnosed so is still in the learning stages herself, & i have merely a "probable" diagnosis.

it IS possible to be diagnosed at your age. there is much not known about mito disorders, particularly in adults, so much that you see/read will be about children, but there is info on what is known in adults.

as you mentioned, one of the top docs is at CC but i believe that he generally sees only pediatrics.

to learn more i would definitely recommend looking at the www.umdf.org site. they have extensive info.

hope this helps...
