Blood Volume

Recommended Posts

hey all!

I have had my blood work done and these results I'm reading are a year apart.

I'm not sure what it means or if it has anything to do with the "volume" so I thought I would post and see if anyone has a clue?

in 2004 my red blood cell, hemoglobin, and hematorit were a little high

in 2005 again they were about the same as 2004?

both times me white blood cell count was fine?

My doctors didn't mention any of this to me, so I figure it's no big deal. But I am curious.

Thanks for any ideas,

Amber ;)

My understanding is that the three tests you mentioned have nothing to do with blood volume. That is a separate test (which I've had).

I wouldn't worry about your results unless you feel the numbers are way out of range.

I kinda thought that myself, but wasn't 100%.

They are not out of control, just slightly more then the "limit".

Thanks,

Amber

I agree, unless the numbers are way out of range, or a doctor brings it up, there is little to worryabout. But it you have a question you should talk to your doctor. Also Blood volume test is a test if its own.
