Guest dionna
for those of you that have filed for social security disablity... would you recommend that others file? i have been doing a lot of research on it and i'm not so sure that i will be able to keep everything straight. so should i just get a lawyer iniatially? i know that i wont be able to work because no medications have worked yet and i faint all the time so every employer i talk to says that they wouldn't be able to hire me because of liablity. you all know the drill. just curious thank you all.dionna
Dawg Tired
It is better to go ahead and file if you think there is **any** chance that, in the future, you might need it. It is also my recommendation that you get a lawyer from the beginning....If you do not file soon enough, and you put it off too long, you will be ineligible. My husband only avoided that deadline by a month because he kept putting off filing - then was in denial....Was it worth it?? Well.... my employers LTD insurance cut me off after 6 months so now the ONLY income in the house is SSDI - so, yes, it was!
AJVDK
After all I have been thought I would get a lawyer for the start. Most lawyers get 25% off your back pay. WHich isn't that bad to get approved. MY biggest thing I think that was bad for mr is I filled out all my paper myself in the begining so I think they think how sick can you be if you are able to do these things. Also be sure your doctor are writing in your recornds thing you can not do. I guess my deainal was based on a few words being not the right thinng I am getting all of that taken are of now, and am hoping with the hope of the lawyer I will go thourgh this time!!!!!I wish you the best of luck.
