Guest CyberPixie
It's meant to be very good for regulating the immune system in M/E/CFS so wondered if in turn it would help POTS. As it all seems to be connected in a lot of people.I'm thinking of trying the lactoferrin on its own as it helps get rid of candida without the die-off effect, which I have (I'm coming out in thrush literally everywhere). I'm far too ill to try anti-fungals, they make me feel so terrible and I have enough to cope with. Hoping the lactoferrin will give me other benefits too.Anyone tried it and had any benefits from it? futurehope
How did you find out about this?Is it a prescription and if so, which doctor would know enough to give you a prescription?Let me know anything that you find out. Thanks.
Guest CyberPixie
No, you don't need a prescription. It's a natural product, it comes from cows just after they've given birth. Like humans who produce colostrum before the proper milk comes through. It's full of anti-bodies and all sorts of goodness. Lactoferrin is something that occours in colostrum yet you can get that on it's own. There's no side-effects or interactions with other meds. I've read that it's helped a lot of people with CFS/M.E and general immune system.More info http://www.colostruminfo.com/
