kmpower
Hi everyone,In the new Rogers book I am reading, she said beta blockers suppress melatonin. I just visited PubMed and confirmed that it is true, at least for atenolol (but it reads as if others do the same). Here is a link: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.f...l=pubmed_docsumIf you are on BBs and have sleep issues and don't want to, or cannot, take melatonin, then maybe all the good suggestions in "Lights Out" should be taken. These include turning down lights early and eating carbs only during lighter times of year, etc.OLL
JaneEyre9
Thanks for the link! I think it is also important to note that those of us who are overly sensitive to medications may have an even more dramatic response to these medications than even the average person tested in the study.
