Has anyone tried any type of anxiety medications? How has that affected your POTS/MCAS/EDS symptoms? I have bad anxiety and was thinking of trying medication but am nervous because of how the drugs could affect my illnesses. Thanks in advance!

It 'may' help to relax you when undergoing a symptom 'event', but you do not want to be taking anything that is so 'heavy' that you are unable to respond properly to any severe symptom.  Myself, I have been rejecting all anxiety medications since I first caught CoVID Feb 10, 2020 when the doctors said my infection was psychological and not medical. nearly 5 years later a few of the newer doctors (VA Hospital, Westwood, CA) are starting to accept and understand the situation but openly state they "...don't know what to do or how to treat...". The joy of infection by a little understood virus...

I'm sorry you are having bad anxiety.  In my last flare up my dr prescribed xanax.  I was experiencing bad anxiety like I've never had before, especially at night.  I took typically a 1/4 of the prescribed dose and it helped take the edge off so I could sleep.  It did for me have a pretty strong effect (I tend to be extremely sensitive to meds and even moreso when in a flare up) and I felt groggy the morning after taking it. (along with the ongoing other symptoms).  I took it on and off for maybe a month.  Other flare ups my anxiety has not been so bad as to consider medication for it.  I think you need to talk this through with your dr as far as the risks and benefits.  For me, it was very helpful for falling and staying asleep longer, which was a significant benefit.  There are of course risks with taking anti anxiety drugs especially long term and drs are often hesitant to prescribe them.

@healing Carvelidol is the one beta blocker that has stopped my palpitations, although it is not an anti-anxiety medicine.
