Sarah Tee
Cerebral blood flow and end-tidal CO2 predict lightheadedness during head-up tilt in patients with orthostatic intolerance https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38980457/ Abstract only. Dr Novak and his co-authors found that cerebral blood flow and end-tidal CO2 measurements correlated well with patient reports of lightheadedness. ”[O]rthostatic CBFv and end-tidal CO2 changes predict orthostatic lightheadedness and can be used as objective markers of OI.” They also found that: ”Orthostatic heart rate and blood pressure failed to predict orthostatic lightheadedness.” The study had 22 participants and a control group.
