My Journey
It might sound like a funny question but...I've had the feeling like I'm about to pass out but vitals are fine. Has anyone heard of this happening. It was a very strange and unsettling feeling.
Pistol
@My Journey I am an experienced fainter 😬 and had many episodes while wearing a heart monitor and even during a TTT. What happens with me is that there is a sudden drop in BP ( often with an increase in HR ) and for me the sympathetic NS kicks in to compensate. This will momentarily normalize Vitals but the compensatory constriction of blood vessels does not allow the blood to flow to the brain and I become pre-syncopal or pass out. By the time I measure my BP often the numbers have improved but he symptoms are still there. Before I was properly medicated my BP and HR would be very high during these episodes, now the numbers do not necessarily reflect my symptoms of lightheadedness and feeling faint. MomtoGiuliana
When I am in a POTS flare up this happens to me a lot. From what I understand blood pools below the heart and even if BP is normal not enough blood is getting to the brain. Increasing blood volume with more salt and more fluids/water helps to diminish this symptom for me.
