MikeO
Found a fairly recent article on the NIH website that goes into a hypothesis that the time of day plays out into Mast Cell activation and allergic reactions. Oddly the bulk of my symptoms occur in the evening to early morning hours. Snip from the article: "For example, in some of the earlier findings, serum mast cell tryptase and plasma histamine levels were shown to be lower in the afternoon but peaked during night (18, 19). In the following review, we give a brief overview of the role of the circadian clock in regulating mast cells and allergic reactions." Paper is a bit technical but still interesting. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6043637/ One more abstract that looks at "The circadian clock functions as a potent regulator of allergic reaction" https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25689046/
