p8d
While this is a very small study it is good news for those of us with autoimmune diseases https://creakyjoints.org/living-with-arthritis/covid-19-vaccine-inflammatory-disease-antibodies-study/?utm_source=GHLF+COVID-19+Support+Program&utm_campaign=17d672e5f8-PSP_realtime_59&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_e0b05b1451-17d672e5f8-233526025
Pistol
Thank you @p8d - this is very reassuring! I was offered the COVID shot ( Pfizer ) through my daughter's school and turned it down after reading up on it. I have inflammatory disease and just was not quite sure about that particular one. Now I have some new data to consider!
MTRJ75
Good to know. I wonder about side effects in those of us with AI conditions who aren't on any immune modifying medications though.
CallieAndToby
Nice information. Someone online said they were allergic to the actual ingredients in the vaccine.
Guest KiminOrlando
I had one dose of Moderna and I was fine. I have Mixed Connective Tissue Disease and HPOTS. Oh and some kind of mast cell "issue".

Oh and some kind of mast cell "issue". I have blood cancer and an immune system that doesn't function properly b/c of treatment. So it's very frightening for me. I quit doing flu shots b/c they made me so sick.
Guest KiminOrlando
@CallieAndToby22 You may be a very different story. You should definitely check with your doctor.
MomtoGiuliana
This study seems to be looking at patients taking a medication to suppress immune system. It may be relevant for some of us but not others.
toomanyproblems
I have a bunch of autoimmune diseases. I had both sets of the Moderna vaccine. Last shot March 3rd. I did fine. I don't take flu shots because of problems. But this was worth the risk.
