potsiebarbie
I feel like I get more heart palpitations just before and upon starting my period? Anybody relate, and perhaps know why?
Scout
I definitely am even more symptomatic during my period. Also tend to get a lot more PVCs during my period. Lots of thumps in my chest, and faster heart rate. I assume it has to do with the fluctuating hormones and how they can then worsen our dysautonomia. Resting more, increasing fluids, salt and also, ensuring you have enough iron intake, definitely help a bit!
MomtoGiuliana
This is very common--to have worsening POTS symptoms just before and when starting a period. I am sure there is a relationship to hormones. I have heard theories but not sure there is a definite understanding of this.
bombsh3ll
I am currently dreading what will be my first menstrual period since 2011, having recently come off birth control pills. I don't even think the blood loss is the main factor for most, my money would be on the progesterone released in the latter part of the cycle, which is diuretic.
