Derek1987
I've had this symptom for quite awhile but I wasn't sure if it's related to this disease. It happens more when im lying down on my Back. My head feels like it's floating in water and there's a gentle wave or something. Is this a common symptom? If so what is going on? jklass44
I have this symptom all the time too and I usually attribute it to some sort of brain fog. It feels like my brain is just floating around in my head and it messes with my eyes as well - fuzzy spots, vibrating vision when I blink - it’s super annoying!!! Could be something with the inner ear, because I’ve had tinnitus/pulsatile tinnitus for years too. I haven’t found anything that relieves it, just have to let the episode pass. Anything help you? statesof
I used to get something that may be similar, if I lay down flat I would get a weird vertigo type feeling. It would only occur if I was completely flat or if my head was lower than the rest of my body.
Pistol
Yes @statesof and @Derek1987 - now that you mention it I do have that too. When - or if - I lie completely flat everything seems to spin, like my eyes cannot focus. It does feel a little like being under water, just because the head is disconnected … for lack of better words! I get a different "dizzy-feeling" when I stand up, also disconnected but short lived ( the ususal orthostatic compensatory thing ). I guess it all has to do with the body trying to adjust to different positions, lying flat is also a challenge, not only standing!!!
Shepard1
Sounds like benign paroxysmal positional vertigo or a labaryntitis to me.
MomtoGiuliana
I also get a dizzy odd feeling in my head when lying flat, at times. Even if my other POTS symptoms are minimized.
fox in a box
I get that ALL THE TIME it seems these days. It's gotten worst this year. Best way to help ease the floating on water feeling is lots of water, relax as much as you can. Don't get up from sitting or laying down too fast and don't stand for too long.
