POTSius
I have seen that others also suffer from uncontrollable muscle shaking/shivering I just wanted to share that I found something that works very well for me I find that an electric heating pad pressed against my chest works very well in stopping the shaking This is even though I don't typically feel cold when this is happening So if anyone else is suffering from this, this may be worth a try! My thighs are primarily what shake for me, so it is a bit funny that heat on the chest works, but I think it works by heating your core
Guest ScottS
A useful tip. Thank you. What works for me is simply folding my arms across my chest (in a seated position) and squeezing in (not too tightly). The arm cross is centered just below the wrists, that way I can extend my hands across the width of both sides of my clavicle/collarbone, thus helping warm the blood traveling via the subclavian veins. I'll often lean forward a bit, propping my elbows mid thighs for a bit of added soothing/calming pressure. Think of it as a low (no) tech solution when neither a heating pad nor source of electricity are available.
