wonkytummy Posted October 19, 2018 Report Posted October 19, 2018 Hi Newby here to this site, but not my symptoms and looking for advice from the group. Long story short, I have 5 years of symptoms including Gastroparesis, Vomiting, Dry mouth, dry eye, motility issues, hypo-glycemia unawarenss, and so much more.... plus extreme pain in hands, fingers, face joints etc....I've multiple auto-immune (type 1 Diabetes / Lada, Hashimoto, RA). No one is giving me much treatment so I've seen yet another round of Dr. who have given me an unclear Dx. My skin biopsy showed non-length dependent small fiber neuropathy at the proximal site and the Autonomic testing the QSART was abnormal (I don't sweat). The Dr. said SFN, but not sure if this is autonomic or not. Any clues on what I should ask and where I should go with this information? I'm in PA ... I don't think it's diabetic - I haven't been diabetic that long and have been mostly controlled despite being type 1 based on the auto-immune panel and it's progressing pretty quickly having the Dry Mount, eye and now retinopathy in the past year. I'm truly concerned that I need some kind of treatment and it may be too late by the time I find the right doc.... Quote
StayAtHomeMom Posted October 19, 2018 Report Posted October 19, 2018 I would suggest finding a neurologist. Maybe all of it stems from your nervous system? It sounds like you have a lot on your plate and I am sorry. Cleveland Clinic may be close enough to you that you may try seeing them. Sorry I couldn't offer more advise. Quote
