I have something

I have been diagnosed with AS and possible low mitochondrial ck level disease. Recently, I have been having a lot of tachycardia and arrithmyia type of feeling. As of yet my heart testing has been completely normal. What worries me is the most intense headaches I get while I'm walking I would feel pounding and as if the blood is rushing through my head. Follow by a weird feeling in the heart or stomach area. I've mentioned this to my doctors and they said my heart is fine and headaches are probably from AS.

When I was at my neuro office he did mention something along the line of POTS but said I would need to get tested. I feel so lightheaded and dizzy with headaches (frontal) and back of the head. They also impact my eyes.

I already take Beta blockers for fast heart rate so wouldn't this help POTS. These symptoms came out of nowhere in the last few weeks.

I do not know if this is POTS / what can be done about it. I looked up treatment for POTS and I do everything that is recommended.

Any ideas?

Try have your eyes looked at. Maybe an ophthalmologist will see something.

You are correct, I take a beta blocker for my POTS. Another option is try a different beta blocker. I take metoprolol and it works well for my tachycardia and heart palpitations. Propranolol is what I tried first and it caused my breathing to get worse than it already was.

Ask your doc to do a poor-man's-tilt in the office. Another name for this is orthostatic vital signs. They take your BP lying, sitting and standing ( after 1, 3 and 5 minutes of standing). If your HR goes up at least 30 BPM after standing and stays there then you might have POTS. A true TTT is usually ordered to diagnose POTS, usually cardiologists do these.
