I pledge allegiance to the fact that my rock-bottom is someone else's peak.

I shall not tremble, faint or fall - so help me doc.

I promise to move all muscles and joints to the best of my ability.

When things go down - I shall look up, when surges threaten - I shall receive fluids.

I will not whine, whimper or complain, for that will rob me of my energy. Instead - I shall hydrate and salt-load.

When no one else has a clue I shall take the lead and strive to be informed, proactive and patient with my doctors - they are deficient too.

Most of all  I shall treat others as I treat myself - for we all suffer from dysfunction.

I'm not good at the not whining stuff....    When people ask me how I'm doing, I tell them the truth, but then I always feel like a bundle of joy (sarcasm) and feel bad to be whining to everyone.

That's pretty good! I'm going to read it to my family later. Thanks for taking the time to write it! 😊

My pledge, well not really a pledge as it's more of a gut reaction practice.

On the spot, I will verbally excoriate a doctor that starts with their I-don't-believe-you garbage. I totally will not take this anymore, I'm saturated with their wasteful crap.

I've done it already and the stunned doctors don't do it again. Ever.

Did you make this up?  It's so good!  I really like the line "my rock bottom is someone else's peak"... something to keep in mind when fighting this.  It's all about perspective.

@Bluebonnet08 - thanks. I write stuff like that to remind myself to stay positive when I get down. It's like leaving post-it reminders around the house when we forget where something is.
