manofthewoods Posted February 21, 2018 Report Posted February 21, 2018 Hi, Since I was around 13/14 I have suffered from facial sweating and severe facial flushing. I'm male, and now in my 30s. The sweating, I have products that sort of help put that at bay, however the flushing has ruined my life. In addition to the flushing, I am constantly exhausted. I am always FREEZING COLD, unless in direct sunlight. Basically constant messed up body temp. This has all caused me to be extremely depressed over the years with a high level of anxiety. I believe the anxiety came on initially after a traumatic experience as a child - this may have been the start of messing up my nervous system? Over the years I have been to see several dermatologists who originally thought it was just a case of rosacea/erythematotelangiectatic, however after 10 years of trying various drugs, nothing has worked. I recently saw a new dermatologist who suggested I could have some kind of autonomic nerve dysfunction. He was concerned by the flushing and he said I have abnormal flushing/rashes all over my neck around the ears etc Upon doing some research, the condition that hit me immediatley was ' Afferent Baroreflex Failure ' I'm no expert, so of course I'm not saying it definatley is or not, however the symptons and everything sound very similar. So basically I'm here to ask you guys how exactly I'd find out if this is the case? Who should I see? I am UK based, London area - any suggestions? And also, if anyone has the flushing problem, which is a HUGE issue in my life - how did you resolve it? Thanks in advance! Quote
