Looking for Others' Experience on YAZ FLEX

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I stumbled across something saying that people that have POTS And take florinef should not take YAZ FLEX and I have been on this pill for about 6 years! And information anyone has would be helpful so I can mention it to my gp and try and swap my contraception pill for something else!

katcanny-- in somee pots patients yaz can be contraindicated . I hope we referring to the same yaz (birth control), . Here is an article by Dr. Raj, dinet medical advisor and pots specialist  if you scroll down to the pharmacological treatment of pots there is an explanation there: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3756553/

Just an update I have been researching yaz and Yasmin they are sister drugs for birth control and there was a study showing that this pill can cause tachycardia in a lot of patients when this drug is used for a prolonged period of time! I have stopped taking it now for a week and started on a less birth control with less side effects and already my dizziness is starting to subside a lot more than usual! Maybe it's a placebo effect but I'll take whatever I can get at the moment! As I'm sure anyone of us would!
