mechamoss
Given my own research and what I've learned from the specialist who diagnosed my dysautonomia / POTS I'm wary of a place that charges a few grand up front (not to mention is located in Satan's armpit; heat intolerance + Texas doesn't seem like a good match to me). Has anyone heard of them or undergone treatment there? What's could they possibly be doing that's not available to specialists in their respective fields? mechamoss
@Katybug Sorry I should have been more explicit! Since no one in the thread really has any direct experience or knowledge it's unfortunately not too helpful for my purposes. I'm trying to separate educated guesses from actual experiences. I'm struggling to stay off the street so being able to rule in / out avenues to explore is crucial. Obviously leaning toward dismissing it but I figured it couldn't hurt to see if anyone had any new information.
yogini
You might want to read through the full threads that Katy provided. You are already wary - there might be a reason that not too many people here have first hand experience with this clinic.
corina
Hi Mechamoss, this is what can be found in our pinned forum: Dear DINET Forum Members:DINET encourages members to become educated consumers of health care. In addition, DINET endorses medical diagnosis and evidence based treatments from certified and licensed medical practitioners only.Dysautonomia is still a poorly understood class of disorders, yet can be disabling. This can make patients targets for providers/vendors who unfortunately don't have the best interest of the patient in mind, or may simply not have the training and knowledge necessary to provide safe or effective care.We want all members to share their experiences freely and safely on our forum, but it is each member's responsibility to do his or her own research and investigations. DINET cautions all members to fully investigate any treatments, medical professionals and organizations referenced by other forum members prior to seeking and obtaining treatment.DINET's Executive Director and Moderating Team

sammie223
I am late to this topic but I looked at them as well. I am in Texas and searching for help as well. I wasn't impressed with the amount of up front money they needed and that insurance was not accepted. After digging further I found several unhappy reviews on other sites. I am not saying they don't do what they say, just saying I decided it wasn't for me after digging in further. Hope this helps!
maggs
A YouTuber I follow has had a positive experience with the POTS Care clinic after being misdiagnosed elsewhere, but I'm seen by a POTS specialist at Cedar-Sinai in Los Angeles. Dr. Peng Cheng is his name, and he accepts my insurance. I've been undiagnosed for too long to ever be able to afford a place like the POTS Care Clinic, and honestly my doctors at Cedar-Sinai have done a fantastic job of managing my symptoms of POTS for years now. Not sure if that helps anyone out, but I figured I should share. If anyone is interested, the YouTuber's video is here:
