Alternative Uses For Salt Tablets?

Hi all,

Just wondering if any of you have ideas of any ways I could avoid wasting the two bottles of ThermoTabs salt tablets I have sitting around my cupboards?

In my initial excitement/desperation for relief back in the day, I overbought before trying them. Found them hard to tolerate and have since found other ways to get salt that work much better.

So anyway... what might I do to avoid throwing them away?

You could try dissolving them in some sort of juice and water mixture and making homemade electrolyte fluid. I wouldn't substitute them for salt in anything else since they have the buffering stuff too.

Ok, thanks lejones1, I wonder if they will dissolve? Perhaps I will give it a whirl tomorrow...

I was getting awful nausea with the Thermotab and other salt tablets. I was taking them with water/Gatorade/tea.

I've found that taking them with a can of Coke Zero or some other soda actually prevents the nausea from hitting. However, this might just be me. Hope this helps someone.

Have you tried Salt Stick? My son has had much better results with these salt pills.
