Unequal Pupils

Thanks guys. I'm seeing an eye specialist tomorrow and he'll be able to tell me if I need to see a neurologist or what. Thanks again. Still I'd be interested to know if anyone else experiences this and what it's in relation to. (like migraines or other benign illness)

Hi foggy :)

My doc noticed this as a symptom of mine early on in my illness. He checked me for other things, but in my case it was attributed back to dysautonomia. I was really symptomatic at the time, so I couldn't connect it with any particular symptom (like migraines). I do recall hearing about others with Pots over the years having it. It was never something I noticed myself, so I'm not sure if it still happens.

I agree with others and am glad you are getting it checked out, though, especially if it's something new for you.

Peace

This symptom freaked me out. I noticed them about 6 months after the onset of dysautonomia, during episodes my right pupil sometimes dilates more then left one and stays that way for several hours. Also, in dark rooms it doesn't dilate as much as the left one (nerve damage?). I had a 2 head CAT scans, MRI and eye tests, consultation with neuro-opthamologist. In my case they say it's part of dysautonomia, too. But it's always good to check with a doctor and run some tests.

Please please please see a doctor. My friend had what you described and as it turns out, she had an issue that required brain surgery urgently...not saying that's your issue, but unequal pupils are certainly not normal and worth investigating with a neurosurgeon or a neurologist.
