Guest Hanice
I mean sudden weird/scary feeling just in my throat. I dont know how to describe it, its fairly new. Its like a small choke but just in the very front, almost right between the "adams apple" and the little dent right before your upper chest. I'm scared about this, what is this?I checked my pulse and it was normal.

Guest Hanice
Thanks Alex! Thats appreciated. But it comes on really strong, for like a beat, and then leaves.. It really scares the ******* out of me. I could swallow just fine too. Do you still think it could be this?It keeps happening :'-( Edited October 9, 2013 by corina
Guest Alex
it can also be a premature heart beat (either a PAC or a PVC) - easily detected with a 24 h Holter monitor. Entirely benign but known to cause worry. I call them heart hiccups, as that's what they really are.Not sure what is it you're experiencing though, but whatever it is I hope it goes away and you feel better. Guest Hanice
I usually feel those differently though. Unless its cominh from a different side of my heart? Idk. But I hate this. Thanks for your help and for being there for me once again.
looneymom
Hi Hance,Does this feel like it's come from your throat or neck area? If it feels like its starting in your neck, it could be a larynx spasm. You have the valgus nerve in that area and it can cause this type of spasm. My son knows how to do the deep breathing exercises and this does help. If you know how to do these it can help when something just feels strange in your body. It can help you relax and get you through some of these strange POTSY body symptoms.Rachel
