Nutmeg has a chemical called Myristicin that gives tachycardia. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myristicin

It has anticholinergic effects,

Anticholinergics inhibit parasympathetic nerve impulses by selectively blocking the binding of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine to its receptor in nerve cells.

I tell you, I did NOT use nutmeg "recreationally"I drank chocolate milk with nutmeg in it. It sent me to the hospital for two days! I just dont want anyone else to go through that unnecessarily. Especially with the holidays around the corner, all that nutmeg! Ugh!

Hanice,

you can definitely suggest this to the mods/admins. I cannot modify any dinet section, sorry.

Truth is there are many spices/supplements/herbs and even meds that can cause tachy or that can lower the BP in those of us already hypotensive and it's possible that we don't all react the same way you did. I bet you won't be touching any nutmeg any time soon though :(

I wonder if you had an allergic reaction? I don't have any issues with nutmeg, dill, or parsley.
