Guest Hanice
Do you notice that you're joints are more prone to dislocations after the afternoon and at night? I think me and my son might have a mild version (that boy is a pretzel). And I always click-clacked when I was little. I am a bit double jointed and stretchier than average folk. My prob is just in my back, my spine is constantly dislocating and cracking. Im constantly doing brisk movements *humping the air* with my boobs, in attempt to re-locate and re-assemble my back into place. I notice that I cant re-locate my spine in the mornings or early afternoons. As the day goes by, it gets easier to do so. Is this how it is for you guys? ♥Does this even sound like EDS? Katybug
I start out stiffer in the morning and my body becomes more lax throughout the day. I think it's the mobility during.g the day lubricating the joints and stretching the already lax soft tissue out all over again.
Guest Hanice
Katy bug, what was the protocol for your EDS diagnosis? Im very stretchy and think I have eds but I wonder how it get diagnosed? I can do the praying hands at my back and Im often told my veins are "slippery" when getting blood drawn. Katybug
Hanice,There is a long list of symptoms that are used to make a clinical diagnosis of the types of EDS that do not yet have blood tests. Go to www.ednf.org for information on diagnosis. It is much more involved than just being hyper mobile. For example, I have blue schlera, a high palate, Gotron's papules at my ankles, amongst several other symptoms. I went to Dr. Francomano who has a year Lon wait list but she is considered a leading expert and these days I have nothing but time on my hands so it was worth it.
